How to make an easy light soup

Take a lightbulb and open your mouth, then let the light mix with your saliva.

I was actually browsing through one of my old blogs, when this recipe caught my eye. Gosh, I miss soups.

Squash soup

Ingredients:
  • 1 medium sized squash
  • 1 onion
  • salt
  • 1 tsp lemon salt
  • water
  • 1 tsp of dill
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

My attempt at making macarons

I recently tried (and successfully failed in my endeavour of) making macarons. You know, those colourful, sweet and delicious French treats. I found a recipe on Martha Stewart's site and thought to myself: easy enough - why not give it a go? I mean, how bad could they turn out. After all, I'm pretty savvy in the kitchen, right? Right? RIGHT?
...
Wrong.

What started as a fluffy and promising-looking batter ended up in bitter disappointment and scraping burnt remains from several pans that may or may not have been rendered unusable in the process. *sigh*

Macarons, my love
I must admit I've never tasted Macarons or Mikado before, so sampling them came as a huge surprise. For those of you whose stomachs have seen the wonders of the aforementioned sweets, congratulations and I hate you. For those who have remained ignorant to such culinary bliss, I urge you to go, ideally, to France - or, you know, to the nearest Billa.

Every wonderful macaron comes in a different colour and taste, so it's pretty difficult to share a box with someone. Make sure you buy at least two of each. You'll thank yourself later.

The Mikado sticks are great if you want to eat chocolate but don't really want to get an entire tablet because you're on the go. Simple, clean, tasty as hell, perfect for trips.
